Dr. Frederick T. Wood of Wood Family Dentistry in Tempe, AZ

Dr. Frederick T. Wood

Owner, 1983

Dr. Wood moved to Arizona from the North east coast in 1958, with his parents and four brothers, and their family quickly put down roots. He grew up in Tempe, attending Broadmor Elementary, McKemy Jr. High and Tempe High School. He graduated from ASU in 1972 with a BA in Education and a BS in Chemistry. While at ASU, he played on the tennis team and joined the Phi Sigma Kappa Fraternity; and has maintained many friendships from his high school and college days.

He graduated from the University of the Pacific Dental School in 1976 and enjoyed living in the Bay Area. But when his children became school age, he made the move back to Tempe in 1983 to start his dental practice.

Dr. Wood has put together a team of experienced, caring staff that shares his desire to provide quality family dental care which includes cosmetics, implants and orthodontics. He feels his success has been in the relationships he has built with his patients, achieved through a high standard of care and honesty.

Not one to be idle, he stays healthy with yoga, bicycling and swimming. On his days off, you can find him at the golf course, on a tennis courts or even sailing when he has a chance to travel.

“I enjoy the camaraderie of an active dental practice and the opportunity to help people in difficult situations.”
